Year 1: studies introduce working methods; students' preconceptions are challenged and through a series of inductions in computing, letterpress, lithography, photography and bookbinding they begin to develop their own visual language. Year 2: research and working methods are further developed; studio discussion considers and tests solutions and communication skills; a professional practice programme introduces students to the professional world and a further series of inductions explore the areas of screen-printing, time-based media, and media design for the internet. Year 3: by this year students are working on a series of set and self-initiated projects that define their particular interests of study whilst professional and postgraduate links are formed.
