Entry requirements
2nd Class Honours degree or above; GCSE mathematics, English and science at grade C or above is required; all GCSE requirements must be in place at the time of application; all candidates must have some recent and relevant experience, minimum 2 weeks, of working with children preferably in a mainstream school; students who do not have GCSE grade C in English need to have average score of 6.0 IELTS, including an individual score of at least 6.0 on each of the 4 areas; in addition to the general entrance to requirement for the PGCE students need to be able to demonstrate an interest in, and aptitude for language learning possibly with a language as part of their degree or at A-level, or lower formal qualifications coupled with some experience of working in another language: for Italian candidates who are beginners in this language but who have substantial knowledge of others are considered; all suitable applicants are interviewed and undergo a check by the Criminal Records Bureau.
