University of Bedfordshire, BA (Hons), Business Management
Year 1: Students examine the foundations of business management with a broad subject base, including an introduction to marketing, finance and law. Year 2: Students further develop their knowledge and practical skills in business and management, with the opportunity to develop entrepreneur skills and skills in using the World Wide Web effectively. Year 3: Optional work placement; the University provides support for students to undertake the year-long paid work placement; on successful completion of their placement, students are given a certificate in work-based learning; this certificate is recognised by employers and can help when seeking a first job after graduation. Final year: Students have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired by undertaking independent research into a business/management topic of their choice; in addition, students have the opportunity to study strategic management; e- business management; and financial management.
