The core modules of the Research Project and Contemporary Issues will be studied by all students. The project gives students the opportunity to develop their research skills and investigate a specific area of interest as agreed by the module leader. The Contemporary Issues module will cover a range of topics currently affecting the industry. The optional modules can be split into the following pathways: Sports Science, Management, Rehabilitation and Coaching. There are at least three modules within each pathway which cover the main areas of study. Students can only sit modules where they have experience at level two. Core Modules:Research Project; Contemporary Issues. Modules: Sports Science: Exercise Physiology; Nutrition; Biomechanics; Psychology. Rehabilitation: Sports Injuries: Sports Massage: Training Methods for Rehabilitation. Management: Sports Industry; Sports Development; Entrepreneurship; Health Promotion. Coaching: Applied Delivery; Reflective Practice - Team Games; Reflective Practice - Individual Sports
