Stafford College, HND, Performing Arts (Performance)
Year 1: Introductory units explore general performance techniques and provide basic training and understanding of contemporary acting, dance, physical theatre and voice; the practical work is underpinned by historical and contemporary studies and will culminate in a major performance project; units at this level include; research project, business management, acting methods and styles, acting for camera, voice and speech, contemporary dance, choreography and physical theatre Year 2 units are designed to build upon the skills and knowledge developed in Year 1; units provide flexibility in terms of selecting a specialist area. Units in Year 2 include; Project realisation, professional practice, acting methods: innovations, dance for camera, directing, group choreography, touring, workshop leadership.
