Year 2: The historical development of trade unions: national and international; introductory economics; labour economics; applied labour relations: contemporary and developmental issues for trade unions; work, organisation and the management of change; and globalisation and international trade unionism. Final year: Managing the international political economy; trade unions and sustainable economic development; research methods; and international labour regulation; students also undertake an independent research project.
