Research employs sophisticated cell biology and physiology techniques including patch-clamp recording and analysis of ion channel activity, fast confocal calcium imaging in living cells, analysis of cell function using molecular biology techniques, cell adhesion and migration assays, contractility of isolated cardiac/vascular myocytes, imaging of blood flow and cardiac function in normal/transgenic mice using simultaneous microconductance analysis and ultrasound, simultaneous recording of autonomic nerve activity and blood flow, animal models of heart failure, cardiac and vascular dysfunction, and others.
