MSc: 2.2 1st degree in a relevant engineering/scientific discipline (eg civil engineering, geology) with sufficient mathematical background in their training (at least A-level, although undergraduate courses with a high mathematical content, eg statistics, can be acceptable); 2.1 or better is required for those with an insufficient mathematical background; PG diploma: 3rd Class Honours or pass in a relevant engineering/scientific discipline and having sufficient mathematical background.
