This course aims to develop students' architectural creativity, advance technical skill and teach how to apply it to a fast moving architectural professional environment; at its core are building design projects to give students a focus for their learning; these develop the brief, analyse the site and produce ideas for designs using traditional model making and more advanced computer-aided modelling packages e.g. Autodad, Revit, Sketch-up and 3D Studio Max; students are taught about both emerging, innovative technologies and established construction methods; they undertake a minimum of 600 hours supervised work experience which includes the submission of an agreed project between the employer, University and the student; the course also provides knowledge and understanding of the current and future planning, building and interdisciplinary architectural projects.
