Entry requirements

  • UK: A good GCSE profile is expected including Maths and English Language at minimum grade C or equivalent.  If you have studied for a new GCSE for which you will be awarded a numerical grade then you will need to achieve a minimum grade 4.
  • Applicants from the EU are welcome to apply and if the qualification you are studying is not listed here then please contact the Admissions Team for advice or see the University's EU Applicants pages 
  • The university considers a wide range of international qualifications for entry to its programmes. 
  • IELTS 6.0 with a minimum 5.5 in each component of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking
  • Pearson Academic score of 54 (or above) with a minimum score in each component of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking of 51

 

If you don't meet the academic or English language entry requirements for this course you can still study with us as you may be eligible for our International Foundation Programme. Successful completion of our International Foundation Programme: Art and Design (with a minimum 50% pass mark, portfolio and English grades BBBB) will guarantee you entry on to this degree.

  • Applications will be considered on an individual basis and are particularly welcomed from students with non-standard qualifications, or from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Applicants are normally interviewed.  It is essential that a portfolio of work showing evidence of creative ability is presented at the interview.
