This programme gives students an opportunity to develop historical knowledge and research skills beyond undergraduate level; it is suitable for recent history graduates or historians currently working in the field in a variety of roles seeking to pursue an academic career or develop their understanding of a particular area of history; it can also assist teachers of history at secondary level to work with older students at tertiary or higher education levels; the course consists of a series of research seminars; students are allocated a tutor to supervise the research project which forms the basis of an original piece of historical research.
