Core topics include: Level 4 modules: Managing budgets; information technology; design for creative production; production company project; Level 5 Modules: Financial enterprise; creative performance; learning from experience; coaching and mentoring; work experience There will be a programme of workshops running alongside the assessed modules where you will learn crucial business skills such a finance and budgeting, project management and senior-level decision making. The workshops are designed to support students in their roles. Topics for the programmes will include the following (but is not limited to): Marketing; website design or Web 2.0; second life; using mahara; advertising strategies; photography; set dressing; scriptwriting; public relations; communications; audio recording techniques; business legislation; moodle (e-learning software); presentation skills; students have the opportunity to gain professional qualifications in Coaching and Mentoring (Chartered Management Institute) and information, communication and technology alongside their foundation degree and to undertake work placements.
