Compulsory modules (80 credits) typically include: Practical energy management; hydrocarbon production and process engineering; fundamentals of pipeline engineering; safety, risk and environmental management; marine fluid dynamics; research skills; marine management technology; foundations of environmental law and policy; plus optional modules (20 credits) from a list which may include: marine production technology; engineering ethics and sustainability; water pollution assessment and sustainability; company law; preliminary year: provides students with the necessary knowledge to study at Master’s level: students select 1 module (20 credits) from: marine engineering design; marine design; offshore design; small craft design; plus 70 credits of optional modules and complete a project and report (30 credits).
