This course enables students to defer their choice of option until Stage 2, when they choose from 1 of the following: Agronomy; animal production science; farm business management; organic food production; and rural resource management; these programmes give an in-depth understanding of agriculture at both farm and industrial levels, based on agricultural sciences, production studies and business management; while students generally gain practical farming experience before coming to Newcastle, or during University vacations, they are also introduced to a range of farming practices on the University’s and other farms.
