Modules provide a thorough grounding in the knowledge and skills required to be a competent classroom practitioner; students are introduced to the skills and processes required to teach in all the material areas; as well as gaining knowledge and skills in food, textiles, resistant materials and systems and control, it is also vital that they become a reflective practitioner; students will therefore be introduced to the latest practice in developing children’s capability in design and technology and how this can improve their teaching.
