Osteopathy is a system of medicine complementary to other healthcare which emphasises the harmonious functioning of the musculoskeletal system; in the 1st 2 years students are introduced to the key disciplines of physiology, anatomy, psychology, research strategies and professional practice skills; study is mainly through problem based learning in small group tutorials; during the 3rd and 4th years students gain significant clinical experience in the university osteopathic clinic; various approaches including e-learning will be used to support students' learning and professional development.

Location

Leeds Metropolitan University is well connected. Public transport, cycling and walking facilities are provided. The University city campus buildings are all within easy walking distance of Leeds City Rail station. Headingley Campus has its own bus stop on campus and is 3 miles out of the city centre on a well-served bus corridor. Headingley Stadium is just a 10 minute walk from Burley Park train station, one stop from Leeds.
