The course combines television production with varying aspects of production design, including sets, costume and graphics; responding to the changing nature of television in the digital age, the course explores traditional elements of programme-making together with related digital technology; the course takes a broad-based approach; students will learn about aspects of programme-making, from the language of moving image to set design, from interviewing techniques to scripting; the course covers documentary, drama, advertising, studio-based programming and experimental short films, together with related technologies such as post-production techniques and moving image online; computing studies are included in each year together with professional skills, research projects and contextual studies such as history of television.
