This degree provides an opportunity for students to engage with a range of topical and relevant issues in both education and society; for the purpose of this course inclusion is used as a broad term as interpreted in recent government policy guidance and relates to social inclusion issues such as poverty in relation to educational inclusion issues such as achievement; the role of the educational professional is changing rapidly to fit the 21st-Century and the degree is designed for anyone with career interests in the broad field of education with children, young people or adults; the programme is created from a combination of modules currently part of education studies, disability studies, early childhood studies and inclusive education pathways; each module has flexible content and assessment opportunities allowing the student to specialise in disability or early childhood if they wish.
