Year 1: Core chemistry along with chemistry laboratories (labs) in inorganic, organic and physical chemistry, upper level mathematics and physics. Year 2: Core inorganic, organic and physical chemistry with chemistry labs in these core areas, along with advanced mathematics. Year 3: Core inorganic, organic and physical chemistry with their own labs along with materials chemistry, analytical chemistry and solid-state physics. Year 4: Core inorganic, organic and physical chemistry along with nanoscience, instrumentation techniques with a mini-project in research labs. Year 5: An extensive research project in nanotechnology is at the centre of the year, along with nanochemistry, nanophysics, micro-structures, materials and micro-engineering.
