Year 1: Students follow introductory courses in economics, accountancy and finance, and management, as well as modules from a wide range of elective subjects including legal studies, business information systems, and modern languages. Year 2: Study of accountancy and finance broadens; accountancy subjects include financial reporting, management accounting in organisations, and group accounting; finance subjects include investment and portfolio theory, corporate finance, and structure and regulation of capital markets. Year 3: Accounting modules include auditing and management accounting; finance modules include mergers and acquisitions, and financial derivatives; students also take modules in either taxation or finance, as well as elective modules. Year 4: Provides an opportunity for specialisation, with subjects such as accounting theory, auditing, international accounting, management accounting, securities markets, corporate governance, corporate finance, and taxation; students also undertake a dissertation on an area of accounting or finance of particular interest to them.
