This is a pre-registration course; the programme provides graduates with a route to a social work qualification and subsequent registration as a social worker with the General Social Care Council (the UK regulatory body for social workers); the aims of the programme are to provide students with the opportunity to build on their previous educational studies through a challenging educational experience combining innovative modules with practice placements in a variety of settings that enables participants to discover the broad spectrum of social settings within which social workers interact; during these placements the knowledge and skills for social work practice are gained.
