The postgraduate study development unit is a levelling-up unit, ensuring all students have the basic theoretical and practical skills necessary to undertake the work that will be set; students learn camera operation; editing systems; multimedia authoring; business skills; technical skills; general learning and research skills; enabling applications technology: looks at the back end technology that delivers the signals to homes; concentrating on old and new delivery systems teaches about terrestrial, satellite, cable and broadband/IP delivery systems and the digitisation process; creative solutions development shapes and constructs students' final work into a marketable object; a case study driven unit will allow students to view new technologies and how they are creatively used.
