Level 1: Students study 4 compulsory core visual communication modules (digital media; mark making and drawing strategies; basic photography and composition and design principles); students also study 4 subject modules of their choice; 2 per semester and the equivalent of 2 theoretical and historical studies modules. Level 2: Students study 2 core visual communication half modules; web publishing and creative strategies and a faculty elective module during the third semester; students also study 6 studio modules of their choice; in addition, students also study the equivalent of 2 theoretical and historical studies modules. Level 6: Students study the core module professional practice in visual communication; this module is designed to ensure students have the necessary skills and knowledge to make careers out of their practices and includes optional work placement periods; students also work on their final major project.
