The programme is designed for built environment graduates and professionals who wish to enter a career in project management, or further an existing career in project management; it is also suited to individuals who are involved in the procurement of built assets on behalf of project sponsors and public sector clients; the programme is designed to provide a tool kit of key management skills to undertake a variety of roles in the field of construction project management or other management roles in the construction and property sectors; it is built upon a strong management theme with specialist modules in project management techniques, with an overarching emphasis on their practical application to the management of construction projects; the programme develops a comprehensive understanding of the role of the construction project manager throughout the construction project life-cycle from inception to completion; emphasis is placed on the development of skills to lead and manage project teams and to identify, synthesise and implement innovative management, organisational and technological solutions to project-related problems.

Main campuses are located in Cambridge and Chelmsford, both within an hour from Central London by train. Cambridge is only an hour from London, by train, and can be reached via the M11. Chelmsford offers quick access to London, only 30 minutes by train, and good road connections to the whole of the UK.
