Accounting and Finance is concerned with the measurement and disclosure of financial information. The Accounting and Finance programmes at Aberystwyth will enable you to develop an understanding of how financial data may be manipulated in order to influence managers, investors and decision makers. You will also develop an understanding of how the presentation of financial information can impact on the longevity of a company or public sector organisation. Throughout the programme you will develop the skills and expert judgement for financial manipulation and presentation and an understanding of the legal framework regulating operational practice. Programme aims to enable students to develop a broad understanding of the operational context and the impact financial measurement and disclosure has on cash-flow streams, internal policy and management systems.
