The course provides students with the ability to demonstrate measurable skills in the management of a veterinary practice, specifically: Select and use appropriate methods for identifying, researching and diagnosing veterinary management problems; understand the legal obligations relating to health, safety and animal welfare; identify and apply the appropriate techniques of problem resolution, including developing, defending and implementing recommendations; appreciate the effectiveness of customer care in veterinary practices; demonstrate analytical skills in the area of resource utilisation; use qualitative and quantitative information in a systematic manner; appreciate the value of information technology systems for veterinary practices; identify personal development opportunities.
