The course introduces different models of fine art practice, themes and contexts which help students to generate and develop new ideas; it encourages students to find imaginative and experimental solutions to given briefs; students develop specialist skills and knowledge of selected fine art media, and to identify, test and account for their working methods as they develop their own creative ‘identity’ and personal voice; students also develop a project for an external setting in the form of an exhibition or sited project, and acquire the skills to present their work to a public audience.
