Biomedical engineering is a multidisciplinary field that integrates engineering and biology/medicine. Research themes include diagnostic and therapeutic engineering, technology for health, and cellular and molecular bioengineering. Specific interests include neural and sensory systems engineering, molecular imaging, nanotechnology and microtechnology, biomaterials, rehabilitation engineering, cellular and tissue engineering, regenerative medicine proteomics and bioinformatics.
