The course is both theoretical and practical (with the focus of the main pathways on the study of 20th century approaches to performer training) and an introduction to special skills related to performance: acting, directing, production management and dramaturgy; in addition to which students work extensively on practical projects at the same time as considering their area of practice in theory. Ultimately, students have the opportunity to form their own theatre company to produce work outside the university in theatre, arts or community venues.
