Biomedical Chemistry is a program with special emphasis on chemistry, which leads to a Bachelor of Science degree. Due to the manifold interdisciplinary contacts of chemistry with biology, physics, pharmacy, and medicine, special emphasis in teaching and research have developed in the following areas: Bioinorganic chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, bioorganic chemistry and the synthesis of natural substances, biophysical chemistry, biochemistry, biopolymer, radiopharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical and medical chemistry, immunology, and issues relating to molecular biology.
