This degree is designed to complement students' existing creative interests and offers a wide range of technological, business and cultural subjects to prepare students for careers in both the entertainment and related industries; the programme allows for some specialisation in the 2nd and final years; this programme enables students to: produce and manage assets in a variety of media (text, image, animation, sound, video); use a variety of technologies employed in the entertainment industry; work effectively in sound and video studios; understand and follow the emerging technologies related to the entertainment industry; take into account technical, social, ethical and legal issues in the entertainment business; analyse, design, build and deploy Internet and multimedia systems using a variety of current application technologies and architectures; work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Location

The university’s campuses in south east London and Kent all offer modern, hi-tech facilities within magnificent and historic settings. The largest campus is centred on the Old Royal Naval College in Royal Greenwich, at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the banks of the River Thames and next to Greenwich Royal Park. The Avery Hill Campus in Eltham enjoys a parkland setting, and the Medway Campus features redbrick Edwardian buildings in Chatham Maritime, Kent. All sites are served by excellent rail and bus links, and an inter-campus bus service.
