Events management students can choose to specialise in 1 of 3 areas of event management (sports events, music and cultural events or business events), as well as adding externally validated qualifications in areas such as risk management allowing you to enhance your employment prospects; marketing management and branding students begin by studying marketing and its relationship with other organisational functions and the wider commercial environment; in the 2nd year, students develop their understanding of how brands add value; a year’s paid work placement enables students to put their expertise into practice; in the final year students explore the management of strategic marketing and brands in greater depth.
