An important part of the MA is the dissertation, which you will submit in September. You will be able to choose your own topic and be assigned an individual supervisor to give advice on all aspects of writing and researching the dissertation. We also organise a dedicated Postgraduate Day in the spring, which is an opportunity to discuss the progress of your dissertation with staff and fellow MA and PhD students.
As part of this course we offer opportunities to take part in trips abroad, visiting locations such as Brussels and Geneva and speaking to officials in institutions such as the EU and NATO. You will also benefit from our programme of guest lectures from renowned speakers such as Shami Chakrabarti, Professor Anthony Giddens and Sir Stephen Wall.
