The school of Sports, Tourism & The Outdoors is 3rd overall in the UK for Hospitality Leisure Sport Recreation and Tourism according to the Times Good University League Table 2012.
The courses included in the ranking are Tourism, Hospitality, Event Management, Sport Management, Sports Coaching, Sport Studies, Sports Development and Outdoor Leadership. The school has over 7 world renowned professors who teach the students and has partnerships with institutions in Russia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria, USA, Spain, Poland, Malta, Turkey and Germany.
The tourism and hospitality industry has undergone growth in both private enterprise and international public sector management. This growth means companies are continually seeking individuals with the knowledge and capabilities of managing various aspects throughout this dynamic and progressive industry.
This course has been designed to meet such challenges and provide a curriculum to enhance the knowledge and skills of its students and ensure that they are able to succeed as hospitality and tourism managers.
Postgraduate students do a 12-week internship in the industry worldwide.
