Over the 1st 2 years, students receive a broad business foundation and academic grounding, while developing key business skills such as communication, research, time management, numeracy, information technology, analytical thinking and problem-solving; a key feature of this route is the 3rd-year placement in the marketing area of a major organisation; this provides an opportunity for students to put their learning into practice by undertaking a proper marketing role for a salary; as part of the placement, students undertake a major project based on their host organisation which contributes significantly to the overall award classification.
