This degree has been designed for those students wishing to pursue a career in advertising, direct marketing, public relations or a related area of marketing promotion; this course looks at the underpinning theory that marketing communication professionals use to inform the way in which this money is spent; the focus of the course is on the practical and theoretical aspects of marketing communications founded on a sound appreciation of marketing and business; it covers all aspects of promotional activity and emphasises the importance of an integrated approach to communications; students learn how to develop and evaluate campaigns, and in the final year students have the opportunity to present their solution to real clients; throughout the course students have many opportunities to acquire, develop and refine these skills; Luton Business School offers students considerable opportunity to study abroad; students have extensive links with universities in Europe, the USA and Canada and they can go for 1 semester or a whole year; areas of study include: advertising theory and practice; sales promotion; integrated marketing communication; direct marketing and copy writing.
