A theoretical and practical approach to criminology; this includes challenging the various theories surrounding deviancy and social control; specialised areas are examined such as juveniles and victims of crime, how they are treated and the causes of deviant behaviour; the role of the criminal justice system is also examined and the effects on both individuals and society.
