This course is designed to meet the needs of a diverse workforce; it provides a holistic approach to study, module content and a holistic concept of the child; the course is a work-based progression course for experienced practitioners who have successfully completed a Foundation degree; students are normally employed and are required to complete 20 hours of practice per week if they are studying full-time or 10 hours per week if they are studying part-time; as an employment-based learning course, the student requires the support of their employer to successfully complete the qualification; this course puts an emphasis on multi-agency working, helping to create a workforce who are committed to joint working and improving standards of care for children; the areas of study for this course include: early years; care and education; children's services; play work.
