Problem solve, analyze and predict trends through the study of economics. Economics spans topics from the impact of a social issue to the effect of a new government policy. Economists are thinkers, looking at the cause and effect of decisions made by individuals, companies or governments. Studying economics requires curiosity, critical thinking and math. Microeconomic and macroeconomic courses along with data analytics courses will build your knowledge that lead to more advanced courses like Game Theory, Behavioral Economics, Antitrust and Regulation, International Trade, and Money and Banking. Career options for graduates are diverse. Many students choose to continue their studies and enter graduate school or law school right away. Others will work at consulting firms, investment banks, government agencies, or marketing firms as analysts. Our alumni have started their careers at Sears Holdings, Eli Lilly, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and JPMorgan Chase.
