The course focuses on the basic building blocks of computer-aided draughting and design application, moving towards more sophisticated computer-aided draughting and design skills; industry standard latest release software is used, i.e. AutoCAD 2009, Inventor 2009 and REVIT Architectural; the aim of the award is to enable candidates to progress to further academic and/or professional qualifications; this course has been designed as a subset of the HNC award and all credits count towards the HNC computer-aided draughting and design; students require only a further 6 credits from the mandatory units of the HNC framework to achieve the award.
