The degree leads to a teaching qualification after 3 years study; students choose 1 major subject from: art; English; history; information and communications technology; theology; there is an extensive programme of school experience in each year, courses in the National Curriculum core and foundation subjects, plus educational studies; the course covers both upper and lower primary age ranges; throughout the course emphasis is given to topics such as class management, child development, cross curricular issues and the use of educational technology.
