This degree explores textiles in the fashion context and incorporates activities within the workshops and studios; a variety of specialist fashion and textiles based skills are studied, along with how to apply and develop them creatively and in an innovative manner; also the design and printing of textiles using techniques ranging from hand painting and screen-printing of cloth to state-of-the-art digital printing; hand and machine knit techniques, weave, embellishment of textiles are covered including simple beading to fabric manipulation and laser cutting; students learn how to employ combinations of all these techniques.
