This course studies 2 distinct disciplines with obvious vocational integrity; the education component is concerned with ideas and practices that are drawn from many disciplines: history; philosophy; sociology; psychology; law; the student has the opportunity to learn how to critically evaluate historical and contemporary education polices, practices and philosophies; the literary studies enables the student to gain an excellent knowledge of the history of literature, their genres, and how they have been theorised, and, more importantly, it helps the student develop their powers of understanding and interpretation of them.
