Programme prepares students for a variety of taught Master's degree programmes; it consists of around 50% English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and 50% research methods and management skills; areas covered by the research module are critical thinking, presentation techniques and discussion practice; students also receive guidance on assignment writing and dissertation planning, as September and January entrants will research and write a short dissertation of 5,000 words; April entrants produce a project proposal of around 1,000 words; all students on this course receive 10 lessons per week of academic English language tuition; these lessons provide students with all the English language skills needed to complete the EAP unit.
