Programme prepares students for a variety of business, economics and social studies university degree programmes; the 4 units studied are economics, government and politics, mathematics and English language, plus additional tuition in information technology skills; within these units, students study topics such as: market systems; business economics; economic growth; taxation; inflation; unemployment; international trade; British parliament and government; democracy and electoral systems; political parties and the European union; algebra; calculus; probability and statistics; word processing; spreadsheets and databases; all students on this course receive 6 lessons a week (8 lessons fast-track) of academic English language tuition; these lessons provide the students with all the English language skills needed to complete the EAP (English for Academic Purposes) units of the course as well as giving them support with language related to their subject area.
