Accounting provides the opportunity to study the major accounting disciplines and relate these to the business information technology or legal environments; financial services students are exposed to discipline-based knowledge (such as law, economics and accounting) as well as gaining an understanding of the different areas of the financial services sector (including banking, insurance and investment); the course provides key skills needed for a successful career in the financial services industry; case studies and presentations by industry representatives are also made during the course, providing students with topical and practical insights into the financial services industry.
