Accounting provides the opportunity to study the major accounting disciplines and relate these to the business information technology or legal environments; business information technology focuses on the design and implementation of modern computer-based applications within a business environment; students evaluate the role of computer-based systems in business and contribute to the design of new systems by developing skills across a range of tools and development platforms as well as addressing professional, legal, ethical and social issues in that context.
