This degree programme prepares the student for work in junior schools (Key Stage 2) and secondary schools (Key Stage 3); the student is able to act as a generalist or a specialist teacher of their chosen subject, or a combination of both; by having a unique insight into the challenges of progression and continuity that exists between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3, the student is well equipped to act as a link teacher able to liaise with and build relationships between secondary schools and feeder primary schools; satisfactory completion of assessment confers Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
