2 languages are combined with the study of International Business; a main language is chosen from French, German, Spanish or English as a Foreign Language (EFL); students then choose a 2nd language from either French, German, Spanish and EFL at post A-level standard or Spanish, Italian or German at beginners' level; emphasis is placed on the practical use of languages and in the final year students complete a work-based project for a local company; course also covers the culture and institutions of the countries whose languages are being studied, as the political and economic context; with the exception of those studying EFL as their main language, students spend Year 3 in a country where their main language is spoken; this can either be on a work placement, as a language assistant, or on a study placement at a partner university.
