The MSc in Clinical Research was designed, in consultation with NHS Partners, to meet the needs of practitioners and staff, ensuring relevance and value for health professionals.
The programme builds on the introduction to clinical research on the Postgraduate Certificate and applied methodological skills gained on the Postgraduate Diploma. The first year is the PGCert and the second year is the Diploma in Clinical Research.
The final year completes the MSc and is undertaken in the students own professional context under academic supervision. Students develop and undertake a 12 month research project designed, delivered and submitted as a dissertation.
The University is located only three miles (five kilometres) outside the historic city of Lancaster, and the city is just half an hour south of the world famous national parks of the Lake District. Major cities such as Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh and London are easy to reach.
